Accommodation Information

Both hotels in the centre of Sodankylä offer special prices for our workshop. Free transportation from these Sodankylä hotels to SGO and back will be arranged every day. Reservations for rooms must be made using the registration form.

Hotel Bear Inn

Single room 68 EUR/room/night
Double room 82 EUR/room/night

Prices include breakfasts and evening sauna. Business rooms with steam showers are availble for the same price upon request (first come, first served basis). Internet access is available upon request. Web: Hotel Bear Inn.

Hotel Sodankylä

Single room 74 EUR/room/night.
Double room 84 EUR/room/night.

Bed and Breakfast "Three Brothers"

Single room 46 EUR/room/night.

Other hotels

Hotel Scandic Luosto and Hotel Luostotunturi (which has a spa) are at the Luosto skiing centre, about 40 km South-East of Sodankylä. If you wish to stay at these hotels, you have to make a reservation yourself. In this case we recommend that you rent a car at the airport for your trips to the workshop.

SGO guestrooms:

SGO has guestrooms for about 20 participants. The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) reserves them for participants who require low-cost accommodation. Please indicate your interest in a guest room together with your registration. However, the LOC will rank the requests and distribute the rooms.

Guest rooms are usually double rooms and have access to shared bathrooms and kitchen. There's a TV in the common living room. The use of main sauna of the observatory is included in the price of 25.20 EUR/bed/night.
